A look at the site traffic meter got me thinking today…Are we developers that blog or bloggers that develop?
Judging by recent formidable increases in traffic I am starting to think that we are the latter and perhaps we should have thought of ourselves this way a long time ago. There is something strange that happens when you start to reverse the identities and work backwards, something that I think a lot of us could benefit from. I don’t even fully understand it for us, but know we are hitting on something big that we need to keep chasing it down.

I think its more that the way the masses respond to marketing has changed. We are less prone to respond to a newspaper ad or billboard advertising but rather looking for real interactions with real people. You just happen to be the only one talking and have been doing it long enough and open enough that people are really listening to what you say. Careful you don’t stray to far from (what at least I see as) your main goal of selling houses. Loose sight of that and I bet the whole thing starts to fall apart. But then again I guess the same could be said for the blogging side of what it is that you do. Stop blogging and the whole thing could fall apart…

I’ve always wondered, who’s reading these posts? Are they local or from far away places? Do they work in the industry or believe in sustainability or just want to learn something new. I know why I read the postings daily, primarily because there is always something new and some really great points of view. I find the topics discussed here generally appealing. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my point of view.
