Solar Farm

I have a question I need some help with…

In a former life LJ Urban was a whole different company with a whole different view on how the world went round. We contributed to the very thing we now understand to be so wrong, suburban tract development.

Anyway we still own a small stake in a piece of property in the south part of West Sacramento and are wondering if there is a way we could put the property to work on a good cause. Its a 17 acre parcel that is odd shaped (long and skinny) and we are thinking that it might just work as a solar power generation plant.

My question is if any of you have any experience in that area or know anyone who might be able to help put a project such as this together?

Just throwing it out there to see what might come up.

    Levi,

When I was Mogavero Notestine a few years back, I assisted Renner Johnston on creating the hydrogen station/solar array for SMUD that was recently completed. He might be a good starting point?

Thanks Dustin! I will get a hold of Renner.

Jim Burke at SMUD is a great resource. He wasn’t the one doing their new solar farm, but he has managed greenergy I believe as well as other similar projects and will know who to best speak to at SMUD.

Of course you are looking to implement in PG&E territory. They don’t have the same reputation as SMUD, but I’m sure they’d be happy to help.

I heard that Jim left SMUD. Maybe I am wrong.

    Levi,

    Great idea for South River!

I have a contact at pretty solid contact at SMUD who works with the green team. I will email him to see what he thinks of the idea. I will get back to you.
