I first have to apologize for the lame blogging here lately. I once got a critisism from this guy that our Blog was a “cat blog”. Meaning that we were only blogging about ourselves (Like someone who writes only about their cat and its boring to read) and not enough about other things. Ouch… Well I was looking back at the past week I can see that the quality had dropped because we have been focusing so much on getting ready for Good to start selling. I promise to get back on things.
And since we are talking about bad posts, here is another one about our cat…
We have had this Toyota pickup around for the last 3 years as the LJ Urban work truck, the thought was that we would not be able to live without it being as we are contractors and all. But last week Micah and I sat down and decided to look at exactly how often we use the truck for the projects and the truth is 95% of the time the sub contractors do all the hauling, we just show up and help them know what to do. So we are going all bikes at LJ Urban! We put the truck on Craigslist last week and are going to rent a truck on the off occasion that we actually need one.
We still have one small Scion that I used to drive and it will be our backup for out of town meetings but we made a deal with each other that we will not use it to get to work.

You do have an interesting cat that does things most cats don’t, so I enjoy reading about it. Of course I like reading about what you think about what other cats (or dogs or giant salamanders) are doing to.
PS - Yay Bicycles!

What Dan said. I like to hear what you guys are up to. Otherwise I’d go to someone else’s blog to see what they are up to.

Wow, I just got the PDF about Good and I am very excited to learn more. So when do we sign up to buy one? I am very interested. I have been watching for a while and was positive that you would be asking more for the homes. Those prices are actually low. How exactly did you build LEED certified houses for those prices? Is there any profit left? I am confused, but more motivated than confused.
Keep up the good work. (no pun intended)

That’s great! I’m curious what the bike ride is like from the Good project to your Midtown office. What’s it like crossing the bridge?

You guys rock. For contractors that is an enormously BIG move.

Props. Now that you’re updating your fleet, it’s time to check out old fixer-up bikes. No need for new bling when there are plenty of great wheels out there to be had. I salvaged 2 old AMC town bikes and turned them into one sparkling little gem!

You guys have great “cat” stories… I find them inspiring to keep my own little green project moving forward.
I agree with Steven… there are many awesome unused bikes that have plenty more use in them… that said, I’m gonna go dust mine off and start using it more!
