Can You Feel It?

The world changed this year. The place you call home is not going to be the same.

Do you feel it yet?  Are you changing anything in your life yet?

I know I am. And I know what I am doing is very small compared to what my kids are going to have to do.

Think about this. At what point do you take the next step?  Is it $6 gas? is it $8? Or is it so much pollution that its unhealthy to breathe outside? Do you even know what that next step is?

I had lunch today with a good friend who told me about a video he saw (I can’t seem to find it on line please send me a link if you know where it is) the video was a spoof of a SUV commercial with people who would come with the car for the first year and hold up pictures of a green, clean, flowering earth so that you could buy the car and live in denial for the first year about what you were contributing to.   Its not unlike the sales pitch that I recently saw allowing you to buy 2.99 gas for the first year. So what if the C02 levels are going off the charts, so what if the car you drive weighs 12,000 pounds. Its convient right? There comes a point when the arguments no longer make sense, when we can not ignore the change anymore. I think it happened this year and I think that gas prices are not the half of it.
