reCREATE: Kids use waste to learn

I got a really inspiring email the other day from Donna. I have never met Donna before but am hoping after hearing about her project that I get to some day. Donna is working on a startup non-profit called reCREATE. What they do is work with local businesses to collect their unwanted but clean waste/manufactured by-products and use them for environmental learning. They basically use waste products to teach kids about recycling and the environment. It puts the kids one step closer to the process of where we get all our stuff from.

Their mission reminds me of a good video I saw a while ago that is worth re-watching. Its called The Story of Stuff, you have to take the 20 minutes and watch, if you are like me you will actually learn a lot you never knew about where we get things.

That video “The Story of Stuff” is awesome. Stop the consuming and you have quite a solution. Thanks for bringing this to the blog.
