A Green Nugget And Proof That Things Are Getting Better.

I have been digging around the Internet today to see what I could find on the topic of sustainability in Sacramento and as usual a whole bunch of unrelated junk comes up but I did find one cool little nugget I wanted to share. It’s a Blog called Sacramento Green Living Its a fairly new Blog that seems to be aimed at becoming a resource for all things green in Sacramento. I am not sure who is behind it (if you know send me an email at levi(at)ljurban.com so I can hook up with them). I think we need more people taking action like this and want to support efforts like this one in any way I can.

The next fun thing I found today was an article emailed to me by Maureen. (Thanks Maureen!) Its not specifically talking about Sacramento, but speaks volumes about the way we are developing as a city and the findings are I believe a sign of things to come. As many of you have heard me say in the past, I am a strong believer that high gas prices are a good thing for cities and this article is proof that prices are finally getting high enough to make a difference. You can read the entire article here.

Enjoy your Thursday May 1st 2008. Its the only one you will ever have, use it to make a difference.

Hey, thanks for the friendly mention for sacramentogreenliving.com! Sacramentans need a place to go to find out what’s happening to make their city greener–and what they can do to help… And I believe most people would do more if they only knew what and how. I also grew up watching G.I. Joe as a kid, so I was instilled with the belief that “knowing is half the battle”. ;-)
