I know many of you have heard of this already. I think it has been almost a year and a half since it was first launched but I just ran into this project again and it still amazes me. The fact that Paris set out to place over 20,000 bikes on their streets for people to rent at super cheap rates is just very cool.

Its one of the things that Sacramento would do very well with. Other than maybe three weeks of cold and ten or twenty over 100 degree days in the summer we have really good bike riding weather. I think that if I were one of the folks running for Mayor this is one of the things I would be pushing as what we needed in our urban core. Anyone got a number for Heather or Kevin that wants to call them with the idea? Its hard to argue that we would not benefit from a project like this in Sacramento.
