Sir Edmond Hillary died today. He was the first to climb Mt. Everest along with Tenzing Norgay. It is hard to imagine carving your own path somewhere no one had ever been before. He was an amazing person and spent his later years doing even better work for the people of Nepal. He founded the Himalayan Trust and helped build schools, bridges, and housing for the Nepalese. So long Sir.

Peace.
A modern day Hillary is named Greg Mortenson, one of my heros. Mortenson builds schools for girls in the remote Himalayan regions of Pakistan and Afganistan. I highly recommend his NYT best-seller, “3 Cups of Tea.”
