It’s these kinds of things that really hit home for me. Designing something to affect people’s lives and then seeing it really happen. The transparent plastic backpacks and the LifeStraws are great examples of design elements that really bring a better quality of life for people. Its so simple, its almost startling.
The power to affect people’s lives–in some cases the health of an entire community– in significant ways can be found in the elements of simple, minimalistic designs. It’s taking the vast power of design and bringing it down to everyday fundamentals. Now that’s creativity for you!
In light of being eco-urban developers, we have the tremendous value to add to the fiber of the Washington District and that value is: better quality living.
