B Street West Interior Designs on Display at Design Within Reach

A Creative Collaboration
As some of you know, we’ve been working very closely with the creative design team at BlankBlank re-tooling our interiors at B. Street West to create a “whole house” eco-conscious design which we think will introduce some new thought to interior spaces here in Sacramento. Our goals: bring a unified aesthetic that will tie together the exteriors and interiors, make it “relevant modern” (i.e. more livable) vs. “obscure modern,” open up more space in key areas, and, of course, make it as green as possible. All within a pretty tight budget, I should add.

We’re pretty excited about the outcome of this collaboration. We hope the attention to detail at this level will stand out as one of the most remarkable features of the project and will significantly add to its appreciation value over time.

Mark Your Calendars
If you’d like to see some of what we’re doing, our collaborative work will be exhibited as one of several displays at Design Within Reach, July 12th - July 23rd, with an Opening Reception on the 12th from 6-9pm.

Of course, this being a BlankBlank event, you’ll also get a chance to see their new art, furniture and lighting designs.

I stopped by last night, but I wasn’t really sure what the “collaborative work” was. I didn’t see any LJUrban folks to ask either… The blankblank stuff was really neat of course.

    Dan,

I went also and was thinking there was going to be more LJ Urban stuff. Talking to some of the folks from Blank Blank it sounded like they were short on display space and decided against a larger exhibit showing more of what B St West is going to look like and went more with their furniture pieces and lighting.

The show highlighted Blank Blank’s inspiring prototypes and most of all proved their ability to collaborate with other designers and produce elegant modern designs that will stand the test of time.

Also the Design Within Reach Store is a really cool space for events, not to mention the cool furniture you get to sit on.

Did anyone try the chocolate? Very good stuff.
