Come August, our beloved Vanessa Reed will be moving on to graduate school and other interests. Our loss…

Denial, Denial
Honestly, we’ve been somewhat in denial that this was actually happening. It’s taken us awhile to actually come to terms with the fact that she’s leaving. Not only is she an incredible team-mate whose contribution to our culture, vision and projects can’t be over-stated but she’s a close friend. But we’re now facing facts. Which means finding someone to step in…

Spread the Word
As with most of our publicity efforts, we’re just spreading the word through the circles we already know of. So, feel free to get the word out in whatever arenas you traverse.

So, without further ado… our job posting.

Job Posting: LJUrban-Style

LJUrban, a Sacramento eco-urban developer, is looking for a passionate and committed eco-urbanist to come on board as a full-time Entitlement and Design Manager in the next month (preferably starting first of July).

The position carries our projects from bare land through tentative map and phases out after building specs are completed. Externally, the position interfaces closely with architects, interior designers, engineers, the city and the local community. Internally, the position works very closely with the other areas that inform a project: finance, construction, sales, marketing, etc.

A few descriptors of the culture we aspire to at LJUrban: team-oriented, empowering creativity and leadership development, triple-bottom line business philosophy, a learning organization, authenticity and openness, we care a lot about making a difference and we have a lot of fun.

Requirements: emotional intelligence, relational leadership, humility, able to think outside the box, flexibility and adaptability. A sense of humor is always nice, too.
