Just got this in my inbox from ECOS in response to our support for their efforts.

Our thanks join with theirs for all of you who spoke up.

Last night, the Sac County Board of Supervisors did the right thing: they unanimously rejected a request by Angelo Tsakopoulos to expand the county’s growth boundary (the Urban Services Boundary or USB) to include land that he wants to develop along the El Dorado County border.

Last night, people from around the Sacramento region packed the Supervisors’ chambers to send a very clear message to the Board and to the developers that we have had it with sprawl and will no longer allow developer or speculator interests to supercede the public interest.

Last night, all of us who want to protect and enhance the things that make this region special won a small victory.
