Say hi to Scott. He’s one of us now. Actually, he’s been that for awhile now, by virtue of his marriage to Mary, its just that now they’re both on our payroll.
As of yesterday, Scott’s our new Operations guy. That’s not much of a title, I know, but, if you haven’t noticed, we haven’t really gone about assigning titles to anyone here; they’re just so… well… titular. Not a bad thing, mind you, just not something we’ve felt we needed yet. If we find someday we really do need them, we’ll dub ourselves.
So, for now, he’ll just have to be Operations guy like Micah’s our Construction guy, Mary’s our Accounts/Escrow girl, Vanessa’s our Project/Entitlements girl, I’m the Marketing/Strategic Development guy and Levi’s the… well… Founder/Owner guy.
We’re really thrilled to have him on board. He’s going to help us ramp up our productivity and efficiency and make some of our bad habits go away (when Levi described the position to him, he said, “so basically you want me to crack the whip.”) Right now, he’s figuring out a workable system for us to store/access all our documents and stuff online according to how they relate to our projects. Say goodbye to piles on the floor.
Jason
