I’ve got some really encouraging and exciting news… last Thursday, we got our Planning Commission approval for our B Street West project!!
The hearing went shockingly fast, which was actually kind-of affirming in a strange way. You know you are doing something right when nobody has much to say at a public hearing — there’s really no questions, no concerns are expressed, everybody just sort of smiles at each other and says “thank you”.
That almost-too-easy-to-be-true kind of hearing just reassures me that we’re really hitting the mark on this project. We’ve done the advance legwork, we’ve collaborated with the city, we’ve talked with the neighborhood, we’ve carefully thought through every aspect of the project. And now we have our approval.
If you’d like to see us all just nod and say very little, check out the video.
Thanks for sharing this terribly happy moment with me- the first approval of a project that we are actually going to see come up out of the ground and into reality! And a very rewarding moment because, although the real work was done by our engineers, Ubora Engineering, and our architect, Craig Stradley with Mogavero Notestine and Associates, we’ve been plugging away on this project for almost 18 months. So getting this approval, this small pat on the back, gives me just enough steam to push through the next phase.
Hooray!
Next up… finalizing our exterior finishes and color choices and our interior options so we can produce our final elevations, renderings and construction drawings… and simultaneously processing our DRE report so we can actually put these homes out for sale…
Let us know if you have any questions about the project… we’d love to hear from any and all!
Vanessa
